It was Valentine's Day, and I was alone... again.
Why did my relationships always fall apart before this holiday celebrating love? I thought this guy had the potential to be “the one,” but he called things off in early February. Thanks a lot!
As I sat in my bedroom in tears with my box of chocolate on my lap, I said to myself, “I’m tired. It hurts too much to keep opening my heart to men who just don’t fit the bill. I don’t want to be this vulnerable anymore.” So, I cried out to God in surrender. I prayed, asking God to show me what I was doing wrong.
I don’t know if it was the Holy Spirit speaking to me, but it hit me that the only way I could get that clarity was if I was alone. It was time for a MANcation. No talking, no texting, no dating. It would just be me and God.
I dried my tears, finished my box of chocolate (Yes, the whole box!), and moved on with my life.
So, I spent the next year focused on studying Proverbs 31, The Wife of Noble Character. I was hungry to learn more about the woman God was calling me to be. Although the journey began as a struggle, it turned out to be one of the best years of my life. I came to a better understanding of who I was, and I was in a new place. I was in a position that allowed me to be ready to receive the man God had for me.
Two years after this journey began, I completed two major milestones: I wrote a book I never thought I would write, and God brought me Mr. Right.
God helped me turn my soap opera into a fairy tale. I want to do the same for you.
My mission is to help people move mountains to overcome obstacles in love and in life. I have had my share of challenges in love, and I use my personal life experiences and lessons to encourage others along their journey. I combine down-to-earth advice with Biblical principles so that women can reach their best lives.
